A dehumidifier can reduce air conditioning costs?

I live in a very humid climate and have thought about buying a 65 pint dehumidifier. Usually keep the A / C thermostat during the summer to 78.

In my opinion, yes it would. Because the humidity is what makes you feel sticky, hot, sweaty and gross. If you've been on a drier climate, it appears that time is high are more tolerable. For example, I went to Las Vegas, Nevada and realized there was very little bearable 90's … At home in the PA, 90 is untolerable due to moisture, sticky, sweaty, sticky, and you feel that you need a shower. You just can not get comfortable.
