So what exactly is oil pulling? Oil pulling (often referred to as oil whirl or oil whistles), invented by a doctor Ukrainian Karach Dr. F., MD, is basically the process of swishing oil in your mouth (which mouthwash unless using oil in place) for a period which is usually about 15-25 minutes. It's called "Kavala Graham" in the texts of Ayurveda.
